In this post, there are over 10 books that are perfect for preschool and young school ages kids. These books are perfect for reading aloud at school, at bedtime, or on long car rides this holiday season. When reading these books, whether at home or school with my kids this is how we do it. We examine the cover, talking about what we see (colors, pictures, etc). Next, we look inside the book and talk about what is happening in the pages. Finally, we read the book and answer WH questions about what is going on. This keeps them engaged and sparks curiosity.
