Just for Us
We need professional development. Without it, we become stagnant in our careers. One of the biggest issues that I have with seeking professional development is that nothing ever seems to fit the needs of special education teachers. So, I did some digging and found several summer PD sessions for special education teachers to share with you.
Let’s talk about real professional development for special education teachers—the kind that doesn’t feel like a waste of time, or make you sit through another session that has zero relevance to your self-contained classroom.
Because here’s the truth: you deserve PD that actually supports your students, your goals, and your sanity.
This summer, I want to highlight three powerful (and free!) options to build your skills, get inspired, and walk into the new year feeling prepared and supported:
🔹 1. Join the Special Ed Socials Facebook Group
This is your new favorite place to hang out online. We’re talking free bite-sized trainings all summer long from real SPED teachers sharing their best strategies. Come grab ideas, share your wins, and connect with teachers who truly get it.

🔹 2. Summer Launchpad Challenge Think of this as your 3-day prep party to get your classroom set up, your routines planned, and your materials organized. No fluff, no stress—just intentional prep with support.
Save your spot in the challenge

🔹 3. The Free SPED Conference This one is stacked with helpful, realistic sessions you can actually use. Learn from experienced educators who understand the unique challenges of special education and walk away with tools you can apply on day one.

Each of these options was created with you in mind. Whether you’re brand new to SPED or you’re the seasoned rockstar everyone turns to, there’s something here that can truly support your journey.
